All part-time and full-time international fee paying students* are eligible for CIHIP coverage and the CSI Extended Health Care Coverage plan provided by StudentCare.
*If you are studying on a government sponsorship which includes insurance or have a valid OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan) card, you may be exempt from the College plan.

Your Conestoga International Health Insurance Plan will start on the first day of class.
If you are in our English language program (EAS- English for Academic Studies) your insurance will be automatically ordered each semester. If you are in any other program, your health insurance will be ordered when you start classes and it will expire on August 31.

No, you cannot opt-out of the Conestoga International Health Insurance Plan. We know that Studentcare offers our students an excellent plan with great benefits at a reasonable cost. We want to make sure you are protected.

Please note: any pre-existing conditions or chronic illness that you had before you arrive to study with us is not covered.
If you are coming to Canada with a spouse and/or dependent(s), they will not be covered under your Conestoga International Health Insurance Plan. Should you require additional health insurance for any of your family members, you may order Dependent Insurance directly through Studentcare.
